Gandhi Jayanti 2nd October2010, Rotary Club of New Kanpur celebrated this great day on the same guidelines that are set by Gandhiji and Rotary International i.e. Service Above Self and club got 1000 packets of Bread Rusks, Biscuits and Soya Badi, Satua and other masale (Ashok Masale) prepared and packed in a single kit. There was a sudden rush of flood victims at Ganga Bairaj and more than 1000 families were living in temporary tents along the Bithoor and Bairaj Road and club took up the charge of distributing the kits to each and every tent and family and with the help of team provided by SDM Somya Agarwal and along with club member Rtn. Pankaj Gupta, Rtn.Anuja Agarwal and Rtn.Anurag Gupta and Member of local ladies club Arpita Mahila Mandal. The members gave overwhelming support in our mission to help flood victims in our Family meet on 26th September, club collect Sunsign of Rs. 5100/- for the flood relief and much need support also came from Rtn. Neeru Tandon of Rs. 2000/-.
